Pictures of trees

This week took me to the edge of the Assabett River National Wildlife Refuge, where the Sudbury river feeds ~3 square miles of wetlands and forest set aside as habitat for migratory birds.

I didn’t get any photos of the family of swans flying in formation, but I did enjoy the sunlit stillness of water and autumn leaves.

To round out the post, here are a couple of photos of the same spot from earlier in the summer.
